Vandalised life belt rescued from Yare Valley

On being alerted to this vandalism along the Yare Valley walk, Eaton Councillor Judith Lubbock walked the path to ascertain its exact location.  She used the ‘what3words’ app which gives the location to a 3m square, which she was able to give to the city council. 

Judith said “This is a very useful app for this sort of casework and the more people that use it the easier it is to report incidents to the correct authorities and have them rectified quickly. It is important in this sort of incident to quickly retrieve the life belt and return it to its correct location.”
