Norwich Lib Dems at Attendance for Norwich Pride
She said:
“The streets around the Forum were awash with supporters and rainbow colours. Participants were dressed up in a variety of wonderfully colourful and diverse outfits to celebrate what Pride is all about - being colourful, proud and bold.”
Norwich citizens have a long tradition of welcoming people who need sanctuary and I am proud to see this tradition continuing for the LGBTQ+ community. But the aim of Pride is not about sanctuary but about weaving this community into the fabric of society.
Judith said “As a city councillor I very much look forward to the friendly, welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where I can talk to different organisations offering information, advice and contacts to help me in my work of signposting those who need that help and advice.”
The march, which is celebrated worldwide, is at the heart of Norwich Pride and everyone is invited to join in the party mood and dance their way round the city centre from City Hall to Chapelfield Gardens.
If you have never attended before its worth looking out for it next year, usually the last Saturday in July.
