News in brief: Changes at Eaton Park

Upgraded Skate Park
Following on from the refurbishment of the childrens’ play area and the conversion of rooms in the Quadrant into changing rooms, the city council is committed to an upgrade and extension to the Skate Park. A specialist company called Betongpark have consulted with users to design new spaces for everyone who enjoys skateboarding, BMX, scooting, roller skating and other wheeled sports. The plaza style space will present new challenges for all wheeled sports and is hoped to be delivered in the late autumn.
Parking Consultation
A consultation has taken place to change some of the terms and conditions relating to Eaton Park’s parking arrangements. These include an increase in the weight limit to allow heavier (e.g. electric) vehicles to park and the introduction of a second form of season ticket that will allow members of organisations and businesses based in the park to stay beyond the current 4-hour time limit. However, NO amendment to the tariff levels is proposed.
