New Bollards Outside CNS

County Councillor Brian Watkins has used part of his Member’s Budget to pay for replacement bollards on the grass verge outside CNS school. This is to try and keep cars off the verges closest to the school. This is where there is greatest conflict between drivers wanting to park close to the school gates and pedestrians and cyclists leaving the school in large numbers at the close of the school day.

Brian said “I hope these bollards will provide some protection for the youngsters. They really need to be kept separate and safe from drivers manoeuvring onto and off the grass verges. I am hopeful that further measures can be put in place to either disperse the parking or stop it altogether on this stretch on this stretch of Eaton Road.
