Local Elections Results 2026

At City Hall

Norwich City Council is now run by a new Green administration, taking over from Labour. 

The Lib Dems held Eaton ward, with a stunning 46% of the vote for Cllr Caroline Ackroyd, and will continue to be a voice for locals and hold the administration to account where needed. 

At County Hall

Norfolk County Council is now run by a new Reform minority administration, taking over from the Conservatives. 

The Lib Dems held Eaton division, with a brilliant 42% of the vote for Cllr Brian Watkins, and also retained the status as opposition party on the council. 

We will be a strong voice holding the administration to account. 

Nationally

The Lib Dems had an excellent May, solidifying out status as the third-largest party for councillors in the UK ahead of both the Greens and Reform. 

We now run more councils than the Conservatives, responsible for billions of pounds of public money.

Many councils are newly-run by Lib Dem administrations, and the party takes this responsibility very seriously.
