ABOVE: Cllr Caroline Ackroyd inspected the bollards early in February to check on progress of the repairs.

Since last August the bollards had been cemented in and the padlocks unworkable as a result of interference.

The County Council had been asked on numerous occasions to make repairs but disappointingly after nearly 6 months of waiting the bollards have not been fully repaired. The County Council have again been asked to take action to repair fully these important bollards. Caroline commented:

These bollards were put in place to deter motorised vehicles from cutting through but also to allow emergency vehicles if needed to be able to access the Greenways estate should the Church Lane entrance ever be blocked. They are really important and for safety reasons they should be functioning properly.

Cllr Caroline Ackroyd, City Councillor for Eaton
